The best podcasts about films on the internet.
If you're like me, you love listening to people talk about films. This means that there is a huge genre of podcasts out there that will fill that need for you. I have set up this page with a listing of the best podcasts I know of that focus on films in general or specific films. If you produce or know of a podcast that should be included on this page, please let me know with the form at the bottom of the page.
Film Review Podcasts
Cinephile with Adnan Virk
Virk began his Cinephile podcast while working for ESPN and had the good fortune of attending the Oscars for two years as a backstage reporter, getting to interview some of his film idols in the process. The podcast took a few month hiatus in early 2019, but is back in full swing with weekly episodes that include reviews, interviews, a weekly Mount Rushmore (top 4) of films from a specific category, and a look back at the HBO classic series The Sopranos.
This is a must listen for anyone who considers themselves a true fan of the movies.

Podcasts About Filmmaking
The Soundtrack Show
I originally got to know the host of this show (David W. Collins) when he worked on a series of podcasts called Star Wars Oxygen (part of Rebel Force Radio), which was a deep dive into the music of the Star Wars films. I was deeply saddened when the series ended in October of 2016 and I thought the show had disappeared for good.
Fast forward to February 2018 when The Soundtrack Show appears with Collins running his own show. You don't need to be a music aficionado to appreciate this podcast. Regardless of your musical knowledge, Collins makes the hidden gems in movie scores and soundtracks extremely accessible.
The episodes vary from musical overviews to deep dives into movies like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and Psycho, along with interviews with industry names such as Robert Lopez and Kristin Anderson-Lopez, the writing team behind the music for Disney's Frozen and Coco. There are even a few "commentary" episodes where you can listen to Collins talk about the music for Star Wars and Jurassic Park in time with the films.

Star Wars Minute
This is one of the first film podcasts I started listening to a few years back and it is still going strong. Hosts Alex Robinson and Pete The Retailer spend each episode discussing a single minute of the Star Wars films and have so far completed seven of the ten films that have been released in the franchise. They typically bring in guests for week long stints on the show throughout each season and provide a bevy of interesting tidbits, background knowledge, trivia, and humor related to the Star Wars universe.
If you know of someone who is a fan of Star Wars and they have not checked this one out, send them the link right now!
